We understand that everyone cannot travel over great distances to light a candle in person, but you can do so here and always be assured of the prayers of our Oblate priests & brothers. Let your intentions shine brightly at one of our holy sites with a donation to light a candle.

Candles Lit Each Week of Advent

The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate invite you to light a candle for each week of Advent at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.

These candles are lit each Sunday of Lent and serve to remind us of the light of God’s Love. Oblate priests and brothers around the world pray for all intentions presented before them, regardless of the individual mission they undertake.

Minimum Donation: $50.00

Our Lady of the Snows Votive

Having a Votive Candle lit for yourself, a loved one or a special intention is a beautiful form of prayer and symbolizes the light of God's love for each of us.

Each day, the Missionary Oblates remember in prayer the people and intentions symbolized by the candles. Let your intentions be remembered by the Oblates at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and throughout the world.
